One of my favorite vacation spots
is South Africa. It’s a huge beautiful country. If I had to name a favorite
town or location, it would be between Kruger National Park and the eastern
coast (Garden Coast and Dolphin Coast).
I’m an outdoors person and I love
being in nature. The beauty and scenery is off the charts!
Near Window Rock, there’s a little
place called “Eco Lodge” where we stayed in a modernized rondavel – a rondavel
is a native round home with a pitched roof. It was picturesque, modern, and
near “Hole in the Rock” and Coffee Bay. Another beautiful place we stayed at
was near Addo National Park, called Happy Land’s B&B. I highly recommend
them too! They served a great breakfast and our cabin was lovely, modern and a
clean retreat from the dust and sun of Addo.
South Africa has definitely
inspired my writing. Currently I’m working on Scarlett, which is the sequel to my book Crimson, in the Moroi
Society Series. Part of Scarlett takes place in Johannesburg, SA. Jburg, is an
amazing city with tons of History, and my heroine, Sarah, is determined to save
vampirekind by finding The Butcher, a
very dangerous and mysterious scientist who created the Moroi plague (a deadly
vampire disease.) Oh yeah, and she’ll get some help from her super sexy vampire
crush!
Anyway, I can ramble! We travelled
around the country for about a month. I felt so at home in this far away Africa.
The people are warm and welcoming and the history that they’re overcoming is a
testament to South Africans strength and determination. Oh yeah, and if you’re
on the Dolphin Coast, grab some Bunny Chow! It’s a local dish that’s a crazy
mix of Indian, African and… I don’t know, it’s just good!

When the pieces finally come together, Elizabeth is faced with a secret that could have serious repercussions for all Moroi vampires. Could she be on the wrong side?

Teaser Excerpt:
Biting his lip,
Owen's mouth turned up at the corners. "I just… I feel like we understand
each other…" he sighed as he shook his head, "do you…are you…"
Cupping my
cheek, his thumb skimmed the corner of my mouth.
"I'm
attracted to you," his voice came out husky as he leaned closer.
"I know you
are," I whispered back before sliding my hands along the sides of his
face, feeling the stubble beneath my fingers.
Time seemed to
stop as we breathed in each other’s breath. His blood sang to me, and I
resisted it’s draw, looking between his eyes and his lips. When he kissed me,
he tasted like mint, and his spicy cologne filled my senses, making me want to
wrap myself around him.
