Your Current Age (week 30)

52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge

Oh my GOODNESS!  Well, there it is…  my age.

I’m thankful for the life I’ve lived so far, with all its twists, turns and unexpected surprises and blessings.  I’ve seen not one but two active volcanoes in person, traveled to some amazing destinations, and been picked out of audiences to do crazy things on stage.  I’ve also jumped out a plane, and am looking forward to doing it again whenever I can!

My numerical age is irrelevant.  I feel 26, I haven’t aged a day since.

I’m sticking to that.

Love and Peace,

Your Favorite Memory (week 29)

52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge

Funny this post should come on this day, because it’s actually the 8th anniversary of my favorite memory ever…the first time I saw my son.

Your Past (week 28)

52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge

Hahaha, and I repeat, hahaha!  My past is just that.

Mine.

Locked up with no key.

But, here’s a picture from my childhood...

Favorite Spot in Your City (week 27)

52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge

I was lucky enough to recently have a part time job taking photos of an area near Las Vegas for a scientific study.  My job was to explore and take as many photos as possible, particularly of the flora and fauna at different times of the year, so their growth cycles could be measured.

On this job, I found a “hidden” spot that I love.  It’s not really “in” my city, but it’s within a half hour drive.

It’s my secret. Shhh!

Love and Peace,

Someone You Got to Meet (week 26)

52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge

I got to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger once.  I actually got to sat next to him on a couch and eat dinner (my life is weird sometimes).

I was 21, and was working at an art gallery in Las Vegas.  He attended an event we held, and I did as well.  Our owner had a small buffet set up in his office for the workers to come in and take a dinner break during the event.  My time comes to take a break, I walk in and the only empty space to sit was right next to Arnold on the couch.  So, he must have seen my hesitation because he patted the seat.  LOL!

I didn’t talk to him much that night, but it was a nice gesture on his part, and I get some bragging rights.  He ended up visiting the gallery a few other times, and I was surprised that he remembered my name to say hello when he walked by. WOW!

A nice guy.

Education (week 25)

52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge

One thing I’ve learned in 42 years is that a piece of paper can do little to prove your intelligence. I’ve known brilliant people that dropped out of high school, and complete buttheads with multiple degrees from prestigious universities.

Education is the sum of all experiences in life.  You must be adventurous, open minded and brave.
Never believe that you are educated, because you are not.  There is always something left to learn.

Love and Peace,

Kay
